Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the BearForm app and the gobearform.com website ("BearForm", "we", "us"). By installing or using BearForm, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use BearForm. By using the app you confirm you are at least 16 years old.
2. Your account
You can use BearForm fully offline without an account. If you choose to sign in, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app's Profile screen — this permanently removes your server-side data.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use BearForm to harass, abuse, or harm others (including in Squads)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise tamper with the app
- Submit data designed to crash, overload, or exploit our servers
- Attempt to access another user's account or data
- Use the AI Coach for medical advice or in life-critical decisions
4. Subscriptions (Bear Pro)
Bear Pro is a paid subscription. Two billing periods are offered: monthly (€4.99/month) and annual (€34.99/year). New subscribers receive a 3-day free trial; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged.
Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancellation is managed through your Google Play or Apple App Store account. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' notice — existing subscribers continue at the old price until the next renewal.
Refunds are handled by Google Play / Apple per their respective policies (typically within 48 hours of purchase). We do not process refunds directly. For purchases made through our website (if any in the future), EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal under Austrian consumer law — note that this right is forfeited once the digital service has been delivered with your consent.
Bear Pro perks: unlimited Smart Session check-ins, unlimited "Ask the Coach" plan adjustments, sharing of Rare/Epic/Legendary/Mythic trading cards, foil card designs, and full card archive. The free tier remains usable indefinitely — the AI coach builds your first plan, you track unlimited workouts, share Common/Uncommon cards, and your bear levels normally without a subscription.
5. AI-generated content
BearForm uses third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic) to generate training plans, exercise swaps, and recovery suggestions. AI output is best-effort and may contain errors. You are responsible for evaluating any advice before acting on it — especially anything related to your health, technique, or load.
6. Health data
BearForm can sync with Android Health Connect (and, in the future, Apple Health). Health data is processed locally on your device and only synced to our servers if you are signed in. See the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
7. Intellectual property
The BearForm name, logo, bear illustrations, and original app content are our intellectual property. The training history and personal data you create remain yours.
8. Availability
BearForm is provided "as is". We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, especially during beta. We will give reasonable notice for major breaking changes.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BearForm is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including injury sustained while training. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, during beta, is zero).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for gross negligence or wilful misconduct under Austrian/EU consumer protection law).
10. Termination
You can stop using BearForm at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the app to harm others.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via the app or email (if you have signed in). Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Austrian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country where you live. Disputes will be brought before the courts competent for the consumer's place of residence within the EU.
